Central Virginia Community College and the University of Lynchburg Enrollment Pathway to Success Agreement

Enroll in Business Administration at CVCC, take the appropriate business classes specific to your major at the University of Lynchburg, and finish your bachelor's degree in two years with the 2+2 Pathway program!

This agreement between Central Virginia Community College (CVCC) and the University of Lynchburg ensures that students, who complete the recommended course sequence at CVCC and complete an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Business Administration at CVCC as part of the Guided Pathway Program, can complete their bachelor's degree at the University of Lynchburg in two years in the approved majors.

The Guided Pathway Program has been approved for the following majors at the University of Lynchburg:

  • Accounting
  • Business Administration
  • Economics- General and Financial Emphasis
  • Management- General and Human Resource Management Emphasis
  • Marketing

Students will submit the required application for admission as a transfer student to the University of Lynchburg. An official CVCC transcript must be submitted to verify completion of the Associate of Arts and Sciences.

Students who participate in the Pathway to Success Agreement will be eligible for the University of Lynchburg scholarships designated for transfer students and will be able to participate in the Transfer Student Scholarship Competition.

Both CVCC and the University of Lynchburg will promote the Pathway to Success Agreement to all qualified and interested students during regular recruitment cycles, on the institutions' websites, and through the course registration process.

This agreement and the suggested course sequences for the Associate's Degree of Arts and Sciences degree in Business Administration and the suggested course sequences at the University of Lynchburg has program approval by each institution. It is encouraged that students work with an academic advisor at CVCC and the University of Lynchburg to insure that all requirements and course sequences are being completed.

This agreement and suggested course sequences are open to annual review/revision by Central Virginia Community College and the University of Lynchburg can be terminated, by either party with 60 days notice.
