Locations

The CVCC Main Campus is located at 3506 Wards Road in Lynchburg, VA. The general year-round hours of operation of CVCC offices and business departments is 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Class hours can vary in the evenings depending on which classes are in session.

Also, CVCC Advising Services has different hours during our enrollment periods. To find out their hours and to get information about enrolling please call 434-832-7800.  The main number for automated choices of other departments is 434-832-7600.

We offer a broad spectrum of day and evening programs/classes and specialized training in workforce development for business and industry. Delivery systems include traditional classroom instruction as well as web-based/Internet courses, and Live Online (real-time web-conferencing) courses.

Open computer lab time is set aside for enrolled students when classes are not in session. Tutoring services in most subjects are available as needed.

Amherst Center Staff:

Live Online courses are delivered live, real-time (days/times established) using web-conferencing software, Zoom. Faculty teaching these courses do not have students present with them - all students are "remote." Students needing training can attend on the main campus or at one of the off-site centers and provide their own headset/mic to participate in class.

An academic counselor is on-site and available on an appointment basis to assist with general academic advising as well as program planning and scheduling of classes.

About The Bedford Center

In January 2005, Central Virginia Community College began offering classes to the residents of the city and county of Bedford at a new, state-of-the-art facility in the Bedford Center for Business. Delivery systems include classroom instruction as well as Web-based /Internet courses, hybrid courses, Live Online (real-time web-conferencing) courses, and specialized training in workforce development for business and industry.

An academically accelerated Early College program is also offered. This program is also offered to qualified home-schooled students.
