Basic Rider Course (BRC)
BRC is a three-day class held Friday-Sunday. Weekday classes are held Tuesday-Thursday and are available during the summer. This course includes classroom and on-motorcycle instruction. Riders will learn basic skills of motorcycle operation and safe riding strategies under controlled range condition. The BRC program provides motorcycles (none larger than 500 cc), helmets and textbook for each rider. Successful completion of the course prepares the rider for state licensing with an exemption in the skills and knowledge test at the DMV.
- Must be able to ride a bicycle. The instructor reserves final authority in determining if a student is permitted to participate in the riding portion of the course.
- The courses are physically demanding and students should be in good physical condition.
